Coming off an absolute heater of a show at Port City Music Hall Dead Sessions is happy to announce our Summer 2014 schedule!

Summer Sessions will commence at the Parting Glass in Saratoga Springs, NY on July 3rd for our annual Phish/SPAC after-party. Eight days later on Friday July 11th, the bus pulls into NYC for a very special Phish after-party to benefit The Waterwheel Foundation at the Cutting Room.   Then, on Friday July 25th, we head to Cabot , VT -- deep in the motherland -- and become one with THE party aka THE MANIFESTIVUS aka "La Fiesta Loca".  The final session of the summer is Friday August 1st, back when we return to Portland, ME to celebrate Jerry's Birthday at Port City Music Hall.

Tickets are on sale now for all shows. Visit the shows page for more info.

Dead Sessions received glowing reviews for their performances this spring at Higher Ground & Port City Music Hall and the collective is as energized as ever to bring the purest Dead energy possible to every show this summer. Microblogger Jessaminehair Starfeather said, Dead Sessions astounded the audience with an emotional 1st set ‘Built To Last’  and  ‘Friend of the Devil’ with Todd Ketchum guesting on upright Bass.  The darkness came with a spooky 2nd set ‘Estimated Eyes>Playin>Other One  "It was the most anticipated show in town that night…Dead Sessions won over a jaded Portland crowd, we were all singing along." Resident Deadhead Dewbloom Northflake exclaimed, “Dead Sessions' joy emanating vibe took the band’s playing to new heights.”

Dead Sessions has seen several new players in the ranks as of late.  So far the lineups look like this: In Saratoga, Dead Sessions co-founder Adam King will make his triumphant return from the west coast joined by Adam Terrell (Assembly of Dust) & Toby Kniffin on guitars.  If  you see Mr. Adam King buy him a beer and wish him well -- he's getting married on Sept 5th!  In NYC, we will be joined by Seth Yacavone, Adam Terrell and none other than the multi-arm Todd Stoops on keys.  Todd played in some of the earliest Dead Sessions back when Raq was called SHADRAQ and has recently been SLAYING the keys with his nu-sion project KUNG FU.

For Manifestivus, since we are playing such sacred ground, we brought back the classic Dead Sessions lineup with Budle of Joy aka Bri Laurie on organ and Seth & Toby on guitars, but it wouldn't be "La Fiesta Loca" without some big-time sit-ins. You'll have to bee there to find out!

For our JerryDay, we will be announcing just exactly what the lineup is and what we plan to do in the coming week.  It will no doubt be something special.

"We want to ROCK the beautiful people who love this music.” says longtime bass player, Pat May. “I'm completely in awe of Dead Sessions' longevity."  "The thought of sharing the stage with close friends, some of which I have know for 16+ years is so beautifully surreal."  "I'm honored and deeply grateful to be given the opportunity to perform and continually experience this great cannon of music, and with the support of my brothers and sisters in the band, I feel like magic will be on display.”

Dead Sessions is hitting the road this coming January with stops at two of our favorite ski areas, Killington & Sunday River!  Tell your friends and come on out and hang with the GD family!
